[Pgsql-ayuda] Hola Lista! (problema con rpm)

Hola a todos les tengo un problema que me tiene por decirlo menos =
sorprendido
=BFquien me ayuda?.
Tengo Php 4.0.4 y Postgresql 7.3.1, los dos me funcionan de maravilla =
solos.....
en un red-hat 7.1
pero al tratar de comunicarlos, en otras palabras al tratar de hacer =
consultas
desde PHP me dice que la funcion pg_connect no existe.....OK, a instalar =
el
soporte para php de pgsql y al tratar de hacerlo vean lo que ocurrio:
[root@tenglo php]# ls -la
total 29
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Feb 12 15:04 .
drwxr-x--- 7 root root 1024 Feb 12 15:04 ..

[root@tenglo php]# rpm -i php-pgsql-4.0.4pl1-9.i386.rpm
package php-pgsql-4.0.4pl1-9 is already installed
[root@tenglo php]# rpm -qiv php-pgsql-4.0.4pl1-9.i386.rpm
package php-pgsql-4.0.4pl1-9.i386.rpm is not installed
