Hola a todos ....
 
Tengo debian linux 3.0. en mi maquina , y estoy en en el proceso de instalacion de posgress 
 
 
He seguido los pasos de instalacion  que vienen en la guia de el administrador de posgres , ya cree al super usuario postgres , descompirmi lo  fuentes, y ahora aqui viene el problema al ejecutar la siguiente linea  ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pgsql --with-perl --with-odbc
--enable-locale  el resuldato es el siguiente:

checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking which template to use... linux
checking whether to build with 64-bit integer date/time support... no
checking whether to build with recode support... no
checking whether NLS is wanted... no
checking for default port number... 5432
checking for default soft limit on number of connections... 32
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

y al ejecutar make all 
no continua con la instalacion 
 
me podria ayudar alguien .......
