Stavros has been accredited as Group Psychotherapist and Supervisor for Groups by Yalom Institute and certified as Group Psychotherapist with International Board for Certification of Group Psychotherapy. He is a Relational Psychoanalyst accredited with Tampa Bay Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies, Usa. He has been trained in Cbt, Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Classical Analysis. He was lecturer in Psychoanalysis and Group Psychotherapy with University of Wales, Uk. He holds an MSc in Counselling Studies from Hull University, Uk, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision from Derby University, Uk. There will be a lecture portion derived from Yalom's approach to group therapy, focusing on the differences between content and process as well as the concepts of working in the here and now, projective identification as part of 'group as a whole' phenomena. This will be followed by an experiential demonstration group in which participants will be invited to role play one of their patients. After the demonstration group, we will together discuss the interpersonal dynamics that emerged in the group. We will also consider the therapeutic interventions that maximize the benefit of groups.</span></div>
