Dear Prof. ROSARIO:

I am pleased to announce an exciting partnership between Georgetown University's
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and El Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y
Tecnologia (CONACYT) in the area of doctoral education. With support from both
institutions, Georgetown hopes to enroll as many as forty CONACYT fellows per
year within its doctoral programs in the natural and social sciences, both at
the Main Campus and the contiguous Medical Center. Fellows will be eligible for
up to five years of tuition and stipend support.

Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit
university in the United States. Located in Washington, DC, Georgetown is a
major international research university that embodies its founding principles
in the diversity of its students, faculty, and staff, its commitment to justice
and the common good, its intellectual openness, and its international character.
 In addition to our rich on-campus resources, students can take advantage of the
proximity of such institutions as The World Bank, International Monetary Fund,
Inter-American Development Bank, Library of Congress the National Institutes of
Health (NIH), and the I-270 biotechnology corridor, among others.
