Missouri anuncia la octava competencia anual para las Becas Elizabeth E.
Bascom para Botánicas Latinoamericanas. La beca cubrirá el costo de un pasaje
aéreo de ida y vuelta a St. Louis, alojamiento en los apartamentos del Jardín,
y un pequeño estipendio para la alimentación para un período de uno a tres
meses. La competencia está abierta a mujeres jóvenes latinoamericanas que
trabajen en el campo de botánica o son botánicas de universidades u otras
instituciones científicas gubernamentales o non-gubernamentales en México,
Centroamérica, y América del Sur. Las solicitantes deben tener al menos un
título universitario. Los campos de investigación se limitan a la botánica
sistemática, ecología, o conservación. La fecha límite para el envío de
aplicaciones será el 1 de julio de 2006. Las interesadas deben consultar la
